Messages and automatic offers

The 3 messages and @username

  • You have three tabs Message 1 / 2 / 3 to prepare variants. You can write @username in your text: it will be automatically replaced by the person's username at send time.
  • Important rule: only the message in the currently selected tab is sent. The correct procedure: write → click Save → verify the right tab is selected → click Start.

Buyer (Vinted rating)

Global filter for auto-messages: if enabled, no message is sent to profiles whose average Vinted rating (as a buyer) is strictly below the threshold you set (out of 5, e.g. 3.5). This also applies if you have an offer after message: no message → no offer for those profiles.

  • A checkbox such as "ignore if the buyer's average rating is below the threshold": check it, set the threshold in the field (e.g. 3.5 / 5), then click Save.
  • Accounts with no Vinted reviews at all (0 reviews): as soon as this filter is active, they are ignored just like ratings strictly below the threshold.

Tip: if you see many "ignored" lines related to ratings, lower the threshold or temporarily disable the filter to compare.

Tips for writing good messages

  • Short and direct: one idea per message.
  • Natural seller tone, without exaggerated promises.
  • Your 3 variants can be slight variations of the same text — no need for 3 completely different approaches.
  • A message sent shortly after the favorite is much more effective than a late follow-up: interest drops off quickly.

Offer after the message (global setting)

The offer is not configured in each Message 1/2/3 tab: you have a dedicated block (often "offer" / "price" in the panel) that sends the backend an auto-offer object with a mode of your choice. The three texts are used only for the message; the optional Vinted offer is calculated in the extension (typically rounded to the nearest 0.10 €, within Vinted limits), then proposed just after the message is sent when the context allows.

  1. No offer — only the message is sent, no automatic price reduction follows.
  2. Percentage discount — you choose an integer between 1 and 50: this is the % applied to the listed price of the transaction; the offer price displayed on Vinted is derived by the extension (capped below the listed price).
  3. Euro discount — you choose an integer (e.g. number of euros deducted from the listed price): the proposed offer is "listed price minus that amount", also capped by the extension (below the listed price, minimum 1 € per product rules).

This setting goes into the settings sync with the server: the backend stores and validates the format (mode + expected fields), but does not recalculate the final amount for the Vinted send — the extension always handles sending the offer. If you had old per-message discount settings, once the extension is updated they are migrated to this single mode on the next save.
