Auto-messages configuration for Vinted favorites
What it does
Why send a message after a favorite?
When someone favorites an item, it often means "I'll come back to this" or "maybe I'm waiting for a small discount". A short message sent quickly — with or without a price offer — can trigger a purchase while the item is still fresh in the buyer's mind. Strike while the iron is hot! It's not harassment: it's a helpful, well-timed outreach.
- Someone favorites one of your items → the extension can automatically send them a message in the Vinted conversation, if the conditions are met.
- Option: after the message, a price reduction offer on Vinted — based on a single global offer setting: no offer, a percentage discount off the listed price (e.g. 1 to 50 %), or a fixed amount in euros deducted from that price. It's no longer tied "per message tab": everything comes from the same setting synced with your account.
- You keep control over the message text (3 templates available), the operating mode, and item-by-item activation from your SnapDressing wardrobe.
Prerequisites
- 1SnapDressing extension installed and up to date.
- 2Logged into Vinted in the tab you are using.
- 3SnapDressing account connected and synced (if the link is broken, use the "Reconnect" button).
- 4In Vinted notification settings, make sure favorites are enabled: without this, the extension cannot detect them.
If any of these points is not in order, you will mostly see "ignored" lines in the journal, or blocks (captcha, expired session…).
Settings
- Open the side panel → click the Auto-messages to favorites button.
- Start / Stop buttons: the tool runs directly on the open Vinted page. Keep the tab open if you want it to keep running.
- Messages / Offers / Ignored counters + a Details panel to see recent events. "Offers" counts the price reductions sent after a message when your global offer setting is not "off".
Reading the counters
| Counter | What it means |
|---|---|
| Messages | Number of auto-messages that were actually sent |
| Offers | Price reductions sent after a message, when the global offer setting is not "disabled" |
| Ignored | Favorites detected but intentionally not processed (filter, delay, disabled item…) |
Few messages sent + many ignored → re-read the prerequisites, check disabled items, active filters, or reduce the history window if it is too wide.
Disable or re-enable item by item
From the wardrobe panel, you can enable or disable auto-messages for a selection of items. This is useful for pieces you don't want to discount, fixed-price items, or to pause a campaign on specific items only.
After syncing, you see a summary of active / inactive items in your selection. Depending on the screen, this information appears in a wardrobe column or via a bulk action — the key point is being able to turn things off item by item when you need to.
